Spoken Forms makes a mark on Austin, Texas' music scene with the release of their debut EP, "Lesser Evils". After a decade of honing their craft in the world of progressive rock and metal, producer and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Hartsell (The Return South, OSSIFER) embarks on an exciting new musical journey into the electronic realm, drawing inspiration from luminaries like Lorn, Ital Tek, and Massive Attack.

With a background steeped in electronics and audio repair, Spoken Forms possesses an exceptional ability to uncover the hidden gems in the discordant whispers of dying circuits. Their music takes shape from the glitches, electrical shrieking and mechanical whirring of broken machines. These captivating "found" sounds are paired with analog synths, acoustic instruments and immersive field recordings to create hauntingly organic soundscapes. With generous bass, and off-kilter drum grooves that mimic the lopsided rhythms of the machines that inspire them, the end result is a sound that is uniquely emblematic of Spoken Forms.
